An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is used to detect breast cancer or any other abnormalities within the breast. The MRI will capture multiple images of the breast, later combined using a computer. However, Premier Women’s Radiology is now equipped with the latest advancement in MRI technology. Digital Breast Tomosynthesis allows doctors to examine breast tissue, one layer at a time for a more accurate reading. This new technology can be used in conjecture with the previous 2D scan, improvng the overall accuracy of the scan.
